Setup & Installation

  • Plug the PE5 into a standard 110V AC outlet near your fence line.
  • Connect the fence lead to the fence terminal and the ground lead to a grounding rod driven at least 3 feet into moist soil.
  • Secure wire connections using the unit's terminal connectors.
  • Confirm the LED pulse indicator is flashing to verify the unit is active and energizing the fence.
  • Use a fence tester to verify voltage at the end of the fence line before introducing animals.
  • Note: The fence lead set (925C821229) is sold separately β€” ensure you have leads before installation.

Maintenance Tips

  • Inspect fence lines regularly for vegetation contact, which can reduce output energy and shock effectiveness.
