Live Chicken Ordering

This page is home to our current live chicken ordering opportunities. All live chickens are available by pre-booking and scheduled pickup only.

Each listing includes important details such as breed, sex, stage of growth, pickup date, and pickup location. Payment is required at the time of ordering to reserve your chickens for the scheduled pickup.

Please review each listing carefully before placing your order, as pickup dates, locations, and ordering cutoffs may vary. Live chickens are not eligible for shipping.

READY TO LAY

Our ready-to-lay hens are raised from day-old chicks in controlled, sanitary conditions with a full vaccination program and beak treatment. At approximately 16 weeks of age, these pullets are typically about two weeks from laying, making them a great option for those wanting eggs sooner with less waiting.

  • Order for Kamloops Pickup

    Order your chicks for Kamloops pickup and select your pickup date at checkout. Pickups are available weekly during the chick season. First pickup Mar 17th!

    A minimum order of 25 chicks is required for safe transport. Chick orders are pickup only and must be placed at least 3 weeks in advance.

    If a selected breed becomes unavailable, customers will be contacted to discuss alternative options.





  • Order for Merritt Pickup

  • SEX-SAL-LINK-BROWN

    A calm, hardy brown egg layer known for excellent production and strong, rich-coloured eggs. Capable of producing up to 320 large brown eggs per year, making it a reliable choice for backyard and small-scale flocks.

  • WESTERN RUSTIC

    A hardy, slower-growing meat bird that’s a great alternative to industrial broilers, offering better health and adaptability for barnyard conditions. Known for tasty yellow-skinned meat and attractive barred red plumage, it reaches about 5.5 lbs at 9 weeks and 7–8 lbs by 12 weeks.

  • CORNISH ROCK GIANTS

    A very fast-growing meat bird that reaches processing size quickly but requires careful management. Proper temperature, ventilation, controlled feeding, and space help reduce leg and heart-related issues.

  • BARRED PLYMOUTH ROCK

    A cold-hardy, dual-purpose bird known for good egg production, tasty meat, and easy management. An early-feathering, adaptable breed valued for its reliability and balanced performance.

  • COLUMBIAN ROCK

    A hardy, heavier dual-purpose breed known for quiet, docile behaviour and quality brown egg production. Well suited for the yard, hens reach about 4 lbs at 19 weeks and close to 6 lbs at end of lay, with males slightly heavier.

  • RED SUSSEX CROSS

    A heavy hybrid cross offering early maturity, good egg production, and large body size, producing medium, lighter brown eggs. Quiet and pleasant in temperament, hens average about 5.5 lbs and cockerels 6.5+ lbs, with cockerels best processed before 16 weeks for tender meat.

  • RED ROCK CROSS

    A heavy hybrid cross known for early maturity, high egg production, and strong hybrid vigor, producing medium-sized light brown eggs. Pullets average 5.5 lbs and cockerels 6.5 lbs, with birds best processed before maturity and noted for a more assertive temperament around other breeds.

  • RHODE ISLAND RED

    A hardy, dual-purpose breed known for excellent egg production and a very docile temperament, even through the winter months. Hens lay rich dark brown eggs, while roosters provide well-flavoured, non-fatty meat.

  • ORLOPP BRONZE TURKEY

    AVAILABLE FOR ORDER FEBRUARY 25

    A premium broad-breasted turkey prized for its rich, exceptional flavour, making it an excellent choice for special occasions and high-quality table meat. With efficient feed conversion, hens reach about 23 lbs and toms up to 40 lbs by 20 weeks.

  • MINI CLASSIC

    AVAILABLE FOR ORDER APRIL 15

    A small, robust turkey bred for excellent meat quality, efficient growth, and maximum harvesting flexibility. Ideal for free-range or small-scale operations, it offers a convenient cooking size with a succulent flavour and attractive table presentation.

  • WHITE TURKEY

    AVAILABLE FOR ORDER FEBRUARY 25

    A large, white-feathered turkey known for excellent feed conversion, exceptional size, and rich, flavourful meat, offering strong value for freezer production. With proper early care, hens reach 20+ lbs at 20 weeks and toms 40+ lbs at 24 weeks, making it a solid choice for high-yield harvests.
