Setup & Operation

  • The 2030 arrives pre-assembled — simply unbox and fill the hopper with your material
  • Set the spread rate control to the recommended setting for your material type (refer to the rate chart on the hopper or included guide)
  • Use the Side Spread Control to restrict spread direction near garden beds, fences, or sidewalks
  • Walk at a steady, consistent pace and push at a normal walking speed for even coverage
  • Overlap passes slightly at the edges to eliminate gaps in coverage

Tips for Best Results

  • Do a small calibration test pass before covering the full area to confirm your rate setting
  • Spread on calm days to prevent wind drift of fine seeds or granular materials
  • For grass seed, use a lower rate setting; for coarser materials like lime, increase the rate
  • Keep walking speed consistent throughout the pass for uniform distribution

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Empty and rinse the hopper thoroughly after each use, especially after spreading fertilizer or ice melt to prevent corrosion of metal components
