Blend 4440 is a mixture of premium, certified alfalfas specifically developed to combine the strengths of our best varieties: high yields, superior winterhardiness, disease resistance, multi-foliate expression, and unique rooting habits. 4440 has many unique strengths - it performs well under irrigation but will take drought conditions.  4440 is able to withstand some winter grazing, it blends well with grasses to make excellent feed for all types of livestock and horses and when managed properly can produce up to three crops per year.
